For those skeptical of the value of college, Thomas Friedman’s article and Education Secretary Arne Duncan’s comments in Thursday’s NY Times are must reads. Here’s the article’s bottom line: “There are barely any jobs left for someone with only a high school diploma, and that’s only valuable today if it has truly prepare…d you to go on to higher education without remediation — the only ticket to a decent job.
